Known for her eclectic styling, Allysha is a unique voice and eye in Indonesian fashion, characterised by her bold conviction and considered approach. Her styling is an unusual mix of texture, light, and colour—true to her last name. While her sources of inspiration include the diverse culture, history, and natural beauty of her homeland, there is nothing exoticised in her portfolio. First and foremost, she creates high quality images.
Starting her career at L'Officiel Singapore, the Jakarta-based stylist and writer is well-versed in the editorial language: serious yet playful, cerebral yet intuitive. Her working process involves extensive research, iterative experimentation, and collaborating closely with conceptual fashion image makers. This dedication has naturally led her to pursue education: she is currently a part-time lecturer at LASALLE College of the Arts in Singapore.
She has consistently contributed to various publications in the region, including international titles such as Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Grazia, Tatler, and Vulture Magazine, where she was a contributing editor. Locally, she has styled and written for The Jakarta Post, Dewi, and Manual Jakarta, among others. Her advertising clients have included global brands such as Nike, Oppo, Spotify, and Uniqlo. Contemporary Indonesian fashion houses, including Peggy Hartanto, Tangan, and Studio 133 Biyan, have been clients.
